We currently have an opening for a Laborer at our plant in Baltimore, Maryland: Wheelabrator Baltimore. Competitive candidates will have a strong work ethic, be very dependable, and have the desire to build a career with Wheelabrator.

Summary of Job Duties:
- Performs cleaning functions and operates and maintains mobile equipment.
Assigned duties may include sweeping, shoveling, painting, housekeeping, and some minor repairs of equipment.
- Completes inspections as assigned.
- Operates and maintains mobile equipment such as industrial forklifts, manlifts, skid steer type loaders, and other mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Takes ownership of assigned plant areas and maintains responsibilities independently.
- Demonstrates awareness for environmental issues and hazards while working.
- Sweeps, shovels, moves ash or other material from within the plant.
- Washes down equipment, empties wastebaskets, and cleans assigned work areas.
- Places and removes furnace access equipment.
- Places and removes overhead protection and staging equipment.
- Works overtime and rotating shifts if required.
- Maintains records and receipts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
- Prior experience using hand tools successfully.
- Mechanical knowledge and skills sufficient to perform the tasks listed above.
