| Volunteers are needed to lead an informal English class for newly-arrived asylum applicants in ASTT's Baltimore office. Our clients are survivors or torture and trauma in their countries of origin. Now that they are in the United States many are eager to practice their English. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in human rights, mental health, and ESL. What one volunteer has to say about her experiences at ASTT: "Without doubt, volunteering with ASTT has been one of the most satisfying and personally significant aspects of my life over the past few years...I am inspired both by the dedication of the people who work at ASTT and by the strength and courage of the individuals who come here seeking help in making the passage into their new lives."
